You can paint me any color(s) you wish as long as you follow these guidelines:

• Clean me up first. You may have to do some sanding to get me ready for paint.
• Please paint me in good taste. I don't want to offend anyone, so no camouflage or religious symbols please.
• Please make sure I'm visible at night.
• Please paint me with high-quality industrial enamel.
• Please don’t paint my threads or my caps will stick.
• Remember, you can paint me, but you cannot alter my mechanical operations.
• Please do not add any special devices to me.

How To Take Care Of Me:

• During the summer, please keep an eye on me so nobody vandalizes me or opens my caps. By doing so, you can ensure I will be able to assist firefighters when they need me most. Please keep the grass and or weeds mowed around me for better visibility and access.
• During the winter months, please keep the snow below my line of vision so I can keep a watchful eye on the neighborhood. This will also help firefighters find me quickly when they need my help!
• If I start to drip or leak, call City Hall at 509-285-4020 as soon as possible.
