Fire Hydrant Flushing

This event has ended

The Oakesdale Volunteer Fire Department will be having a training exercise using our fire hydrants on Monday, September 22nd at 7 p.m. They will be attaching fire hoses to our fire hydrants and then flush the hydrant and the service line. This training will exercise the fire hydrants and affirm they are in working order. This will also cause discoloration in our water for that brief time. You can water your yard or open a hydrant outside to flush your own water service line to clear up the discolored water. The water lines to the fire hydrants have set dormant for about two years now thus causing that water to be flushed out and looking a bit yellowish and may have some sediment in the line.
